Jean Geoffroy plays Attacca! Concert

Jean Geoffroy plays

Attacca!

This concert features world renowned French percussionist Jean Geoffroy in collaboration with CREAMA (Center for Research in Electro-Acoustic Music and Audio), a center that has become respected internationally for their active role on the classical electronic music scene in Korea. This concert highlights both Jean Geoffroy's awe-inspiring artistic interpretation as well as his considerable technical skill, showcasing his well-known performance of live electronic music. The centerpiece of the concert will be the Korean premiere of Ivo Malec's virtuoso composition Attacca — a work seldom played due to its great difficulty and vast instrumental requirements, including over 50 percussion instruments onstage — a signature work in Jean Geoffroy's repertoire. Together with Attacca, the wide spectrum of contemporary classical music on this programme offers a unique and extraordinary listening experience — a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a breathtaking performance that will excite and inspire.
